Welcome to Alpaca Academy
The intent of this site is to provide education and information for the entire alpaca community. This information includes answers to the most common questions about alpacas and the industry, links to research being done on alpacas, and much more. Although there is a lot of information contained here within the site, will still encourage you to visit with local farms, your veterinarian, and visit the national organizations listed on the right for information. If you are seeking more information or considering getting into the industry, we especially recommend that you visit the Alpaca Owners & Breeders Association site and the Alpaca Registry, Inc. site. These two organizations are the national breed association and the national breed registry.
Alpaca Academy is a work in progress and will continue to evolve as we gather more information and gain more involvement from everyone in the industry. Please add this site to your favorites and post the link prominently on your personal websites so that people, both in the industry and for those researching the industry, can access this valuable information.
